Certificate as likely of 18th century French origin by Francois Champarnaud Soloist quality violin attributed to and certified by 18th century France by expert Champarnaud. Beautifully conceived by a luthier with a strong grasp of what it takes to make an instrument sing. Tonally, among the boldest, most projecting instruments in the STRINGNET collection. Focused, mellow tone in the lower registers...plenty of brilliance on the upper E string, too! Made with resonant stock of plain character, especially the one-piece back. The top, of two pieces, is of medium grain, opening up towards the flanks. Scroll, by a later maker, has repairs to the cheek which are warrantied solid. An opportunity to acquire a premium French violin of over 200 years age at little more than the price of a 20th century central European instrument. Sold with certificate. QUESTIONS?
