San Remo, 1973 Post dated seventeen years after the death of Panizzi, this superb violin from the Bubenreuth and Erlangen area is modeled on the Stradivari pattern. The wood, boldly flamed with the two piece back ascending towards the flanks. Perfect arching, immaculate purfling and one of the most beautifully carved scrolls we've ever had the pleasure of seeing. The perfection of form and deeply cut scroll volute is a feast for the eyes! Ribs of similar boldly flamed maple. The top, of medium-wide grain spruce, is even and very handsome. Workmanship meticulously clean and artistic. It is covered with a golden brown varnish of soft but durable strength. Comes with rosewood accessories and gold escutcheoned pegs. It is in mint condition. Tonally, the violin exhibits a slightly dark, robust sound that will thrill with its power.QUESTIONS? UB: 17 cm MB: 11.9 cm LB: 21 cm LOB: 35.8 cm Product Dimensions: |
