Fermo,Italy, 1854 Attractive violin, late 20th century European. Beautiful execution on the Stradivari pattern. Handsome arching, clean inlay of purfling and beautifully carved scroll shows the artistic, steady hand of the maker. Beautiful, two-piece back of bold flame descending to the margins. Ribs and scroll of medium-flamed maple. Top of medium-grained, straight spruce. Varnish of deep brownish red hue, is tastefully antiqued. This violin is in near new condition.
