JOHN JUZEK, PRAGUE Pre War (1920s )
A near MINT condition violin from the sought after golden pre-war period of the 1920s. A genuine find purchased from the family of the original owner. This violin has remained in the same family for almost a century!
This splendid example in the Gagliano pattern has all its original varnish intact, a rich brown and transparent cover with reddish highlights (photos do not do the varnish color justice). The spruce top is medium grained and perfectly straight. The two-piece maple back of generous flame perfectly bookended. Ribs and scroll also of beautifully flamed maple.
It shows signs of having had minimal playing time over all those years. It has the original pegs, tailpiece and fingerboard.
